Privacy Policy
This policy explains how this website handles your personal data. We take a "collect as little as possible" approach, and we describe only the processing that actually takes place.
This English translation is provided for reference only. In case of any discrepancy, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail.
1. Scope
This policy applies when you browse this website and when you contact us through the channels listed on it. Qianyun is a web design studio, currently in the early stage of the studio, with no external client projects to date.
This policy describes how this website handles data. If we later enter into a website design or development engagement, the handling of data within that project (such as the assets, copy or back-office access you hand over to us) is governed by our written agreement with you and is outside the scope of this policy.
2. What this website does not do
To avoid unnecessary data collection, this website deliberately does not use the following technologies and features:
- It does not set cookies. Your browser's localStorage is used only to remember your display theme preference (light / dark / follow system); this setting is stored on your device only, contains no personal data, and is never transmitted to any server.
- It does not install any web analytics, advertising tracking or behavioural analysis tools.
- It does not embed external fonts, external images, external code or social media plugins; all resources are served by this site itself.
- It offers no member registration, login or newsletter subscription, so no visitor database is created.
- It performs no cross-site tracking, and no data is used for advertising or profiling.
You can check this yourself: reload this site with the network panel of your browser's developer tools open, and every request goes to this site's own domain.
3. Information we may obtain
At present there is only one situation in which we obtain your personal data: when you contact us on your own initiative.
- Contact details and content you provide voluntarily: for example the name, organization or company, email address, phone number and message you include in your email. Whether you provide them, and how much, is entirely your decision.
- Connection records generated by the hosting service: this website is served as static pages by a website hosting service, which may generate server connection records (such as source IP address and access time) for operational and security purposes. Those records are handled by the hosting service under its own policy; we have not added any analytics or tracking code to this website, and we do not use such records to identify individual visitors.
4. How the contact form actually works
This website has no backend server and no email sending service configured. When you press the button, the form on the Contact page simply assembles the field contents into an email draft and opens the email application on your device.
The contents of the form are therefore never transmitted to this website and are never stored by it; we receive your message by email only after you press send in your own email application.
5. Purpose of use and disclosure to others
- The information you provide is used only to answer your enquiry, to discuss possible work together and to keep the correspondence records necessary for that purpose.
- We do not use your information for marketing, push notifications or advertising, and we do not add you to any notification list without your consent.
- We do not sell, rent or provide your information to third parties; however, we may be required to provide it where laws and regulations so require, or where judicial or administrative authorities request it through due legal process.
- We do not use your name, marks or the content of your enquiry in any public work showcase, on this website or elsewhere, without your written consent.
6. Retention and deletion
Your correspondence is retained in the email service used by the company. Once the purpose of the contact has been fulfilled and there is no need to keep the records, or when you ask us to delete them, we will delete the relevant correspondence, except where a statutory retention obligation applies.
You may ask us by email at any time to delete your correspondence and the personal data in it; we will do so after verifying your identity and confirm the outcome to you. The display theme setting stored on your own device can be removed at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser — you do not need to tell us.
7. Data security
We protect the correspondence we receive by reasonable means and limit access to the personnel who need it to handle the matter. The company is still building its internal procedures, so we make no claim of holding any particular information security certification or standard.
Transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not include passwords, financial account details or other unnecessary sensitive information in your correspondence. If a project requires handing over access to a site back office or domain account, we will agree a safe delivery method separately and will not send credentials by ordinary email.
8. Your rights
In line with the spirit of the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan), in respect of the personal data we hold about you, you may exercise the following rights: to enquire about or request access to it, to request a copy of it, to request supplementation or correction of it, to request that we cease collecting, processing or using it, and to request its deletion.
As this website does not actively collect personal data, in practice most cases concern only the content of the correspondence you have sent us. You may submit a request to the email address below; we will handle it in accordance with the law after verifying your identity, and if we are unable to comply for legal reasons we will explain why.
9. Minors
This website is intended for business communication about website design and development and is not directed at minors. If a minor needs to contact us, we suggest doing so with the knowledge or consent of a legal representative.
10. Amendments to this policy
This policy may be amended as laws change or as the website is adjusted. Amended text will be published on this page and the last updated date shown above will be updated at the same time; in the event of a material change we will state it clearly on the website.
